Maruti finally pulled the covers off the 2026 Brezza today.
And honestly? This is the update the Brezza needed two years ago.
The big news first
There's a new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine now.
Around 109-110 bhp, 170 Nm. That's a real number in this segment.
The old 1.5-litre NA petrol sticks around too, so you get options depending on whether you want punch or just want to save on fuel.
What else changed
New front end — slimmer grille, squared-off LED headlamps, silver skid plate
Bigger 10.1-inch touchscreen, lifted straight from the Victoris
Ventilated seats, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof on top trims
New variant names too — L, L(O), V, Z, Z(O), Z+ — Maruti's going global with the naming now
Prices
Starts around ₹8.50 lakh, going up to about ₹13 lakh for the loaded variant.
Not a huge jump from before. Maruti clearly doesn't want to scare off Brezza loyalists.
My honest take
The turbo engine is the headline, but I don't think it's the real story here.
The real story is the screen and the interior bump. That's where the Brezza was genuinely behind ,Nexon, Sonet, XUV 3XO all made the old Brezza's cabin look dated.
This closes that gap. Doesn't necessarily win it, but closes it.
Does it beat the Nexon?
Not on safety reputation. Not on that punchy diesel option either ,Brezza still doesn't have one.
But on tech-for-money? This might just nudge ahead.
Bottom line
If you were Brezza-shopping and waiting for the right time ,this is probably it.
If you're cross-shopping the segment, this at least puts Brezza back in the conversation instead of on the maybe skip this one list.
